hey caspersvapors,

I finally reached my pal and asked which disc he was playing with me in his SUV that featured Jerry Garcia trading state-of-the-art, inspired licks with jazz musicians.

He thinks it might have been a late '70s Reconstruction gig... although at the time (circa mid '90s) it seemed to me I was hearing something fairly current.

But my pal said Jerry didn't do any jazz shows in the early '90s or late '80s...

Any clues or links beyond that, I'm at a loss.
